Can you please tell me how to specify unique meta data for a certain category of goods without using a template engine in Bitrix? I need to specify a unique meta title and meta description for a certain category or subcategory, and Bitrix offers to inherit the same template for this category, its subcategories, and even for all products.

Why is there such an opportunity for a product, but not for a category? Or is it hidden somewhere...

seo template is mainly used for unfilled seo tags in element sections, etc., but nothing prevents you from removing seo templates from the catalog infoblock settings and doing as in the old days in Opencart or WP, i.e. hands separately for each category, subcategory, product, and if you missed something, then there will not be SEO tags filled.
After all, it is much easier to redefine SEO tags where necessary than to shovel everything
P.S. to be honest, Opencart or WP is not an argument, I worked there and there. Such flexible SEO settings were never dreamed of there.
