How to share a USB device over the network?
Hello everyone,
I’ll say right away that I know about “USB over Network” (here it is, here: www.fabulatech.com/usb-over-network.html) and I’m even ready to buy it if it works. But the thing is, it doesn't work.
A little more about the system. Corporate network. Machines:
1. Server. Physical machine with Windows XP SP3. Usb devices
2 are connected here. Client. A virtual machine with Windows XP SP3, running on ESXi
USB devices (there are two of them) is not quite ordinary. They are both smartcard readers. A barcode scanner also acts as a test device. The server perfectly recognizes devices and they work on it. Then I share them using "USB over Network". The client perfectly sees the devices on the server and connects to them. And that's it. Devices on the client do not work.
PS connect to the client RDP
Thanks in advance for the ideas
