How to set up VPN for free WI-FI hotspot on Zyxel Keenetic Giga 2?
A free WI-FI point from an Internet provider is organized at the entrance. I plan to connect to it through a Zyxel Keenetic Giga 2 router. As I understand it, this router can connect to WI-FI and there will be no problems (though I haven’t tested it yet).
The bottom line is that I don’t want to leak information to the provider and I want the data to be transmitted via VPN after connecting to a WI-FI point. At the level of the router, I have never done this. I have a license from F-Secure Freedome that I use as a program on my computer. But this option is not suitable, since there are several mobile devices at home that need to be connected to an already secure connection through a router.
Tell me how to be? Is it possible to somehow secure the connection at the router level?

Can. Your router can open tunnels using PPTP and L2TP protocols. Check with your VPN provider to see if they support these protocols.
A quick search reveals that F-Secure Freedome uses :
Our iOS product uses the IPSEC VPN standard. Android, Windows and Mac OS X products use the OpenVPN protocol.
The ports for iOS are:
UDP 500 - ISAKMP
UDP 4500 - ESP UDP encapsulation
The ports for Android, Mac and Windows are:
TCP/UDP ports in the range 2740 - 2749
TCP port 443
Then you only need to select the appropriate instruction from https://www.google.com/search?q=zyxel+keenetic+ope...
