How to set up graphics in centos 8 virtual machine after migrating from esxi to proxmox?

Good afternoon.

Migrated a virtual machine with CentOS 8 from esxi to proxmox, everything is fine, but Xs do not start.
Initially (on esxi) I put xrdp there and went, respectively, via RDP. Now (on proxmox) RDP falls off almost immediately, writes to /var/log/xrdp-sesman.log incl. like this:

Window manager (pid 4397, display 11) exited quickly (5 secs). This could indicate a window manager config problem

A couple of times it didn’t fall off (I didn’t understand under what circumstances), but it showed a black screen. A couple of times even one program from autorun was launched (again, I did not understand under what circumstances). But for the most part - dump.
Initially (on esxi) in the console, Xs were launched in 1 console, now (on proxmox) the cursor just blinks there.

I thought that I broke something before the migration, I launched it on the original server - no, everything works fine.
I thought that proxmox does not have a suitable display type, no, if you install CentOS and xrdp directly on proxmox, then everything works fine. I tried to install all display types in turn, incl. Standard VGA, VMware compatible, Virtio-GPU, the result is the same.
I generated /etc//X11/xorg.conf, after that the /dev/dri/card0 device appeared (but at first it wasn’t there, although it was on esxi), but in general the picture remained the same.

The last time I dealt with graphics under Linux was 15 years ago. I guess that I need to somehow reconfigure Xs for other hardware, or deliver a driver, but I have absolutely no idea how to do this. I didn't google it, apparently I'm asking the wrong question.

Tell me, pls, what should be done in such a situation.

In short, I struggled for 2 days, and today I launched dnf update on the virtual machine, and it worked by itself. heck what was that.

Well eat. Turn off the graphics, leave the console. Try starting X manually and look for errors. Delete/rename xorg.conf - modern x's are able to start in default. Crooked, but capable, and sometimes this log is enough.
Most likely, a vidyuha from vmware is configured, but now it is gone.
