How to run Windows and work with it from an external drive on any computer?
Having gone through Google, I put win7 on an external hard drive. On the laptop on which it was created, it runs. The computer mostly crashes with a blue screen. The boot disk created directly on a hard.
I need to have my own OS so that I can work with it on any computer (I often change computers).
I saw that you can put winPortable, but they say that it is castrated and it is impossible to sit on it normally.
What are the suggestions?

To be guaranteed to work - no way. If without taking into account the old coffins - drag the image of the virtual machine. Windows to go has a lot of limitations and often does not work immediately after connecting (requires a reboot). Windows PE is closer to what you want, but a bunch of software under it won't work, because it's compressed as much as possible, and you can't just add the necessary libraries and modules there.
There is an official solution from the Microsoft itself - Windows To Go, which seems to exist since Windows 8 in the Enterprise and Education editions.
All other self-made options in terms of performance owe nothing to anyone.
you cut a flash drive, turn off all hard drives except for the external one, put on it --> profit,
but it will not work on all computers, there will be bsod, because firewood ...
