How to run WiMax Intel on Xubuntu?

In general, I got my hands on an MSI U120 netbook (the one with Yota WiMax support) ... I
immediately rolled Xubuntu onto it, but then I tried to install a SIM card into it ...
Naturally, nothing worked. Intel (R) WiMax link 5150 is defined as a network card, but does not react to the SIM card in any way. On Habré I found at least 2 instructions on the topic, but the links are broken everywhere ... How to be?
ps Ideally, I need it not to depend on the Yota-sim card, because I stuck a megaphone there.

What other sims? Yota closed the wimax network already, switched to LTE.
