MSI GE70 (MS-1756) not seeing discrete graphics card?
A friend brought a laptop. I don’t know much myself, but the field of activity is connected with computers, so many acquaintances drag a little something to me. I ask you not to throw stones strongly, in general I am an amateur.
A friend gave a laptop to someone there, somewhere for a year. During this year, they removed their native Windows (and erased all recovery partitions and rolled the HDD from GPT to MBR, as I understand it) and installed 7ku (it was originally 8). The device manager really did not see the discreet, there were no hidden devices either.
What I did (of course, it did not help yet):
1) First of all, I installed 8.1 (only it was at hand, now I will try exactly 8) - I installed all the drivers in sequence. Installing Nvidia drivers gives an error - no suitable hardware found. It didn't show up in device manager either.
2) I disconnected the power supply of the BIOS battery for about half an hour.
3) I reflashed the BIOS for 8, although it seems that the latest version was already. In the BIOS, in the Advanced tab, there is Switchable Graphics, inside it SG Mode Select is set to Muxless (there are no other options). I also noticed an interesting feature, when I set the UEFI mode, the GOP Driver Version appears in the System Information tab.
So far, I’m still sinning on a crooked installation / reinstallation of software, rather than on a hardware problem, although I don’t exclude anything. By the way, something was spilled on the laptop, the keyboard did not work, but replacing the keyboard fixed the problem + there are no signs of flooding on the board, so I leave the option of flooding the chip to the last turn.
There is another idea to take a GPT disk and put Windows there, boot into UEFI. This can help?
If anyone can help with advice on what else to try, I would be extremely grateful.

search the net for the image of the original Windows for this beech, I saw it on torrents, and fill in the original Windows.
You can also try to ask on the official Russian-language forum - the people there are quite adequate.
Good day to all. I struggled a bit with this problem myself. The bottom line is that when you turn on the uefi mode, neither the BIOS nor Windows see the monitors. Therefore, if you suddenly encounter such a problem, do not be alarmed, but just turn off the uefi mode in the BIOS
