How to run old programs in a special way?
Lord, hello!
There is a program that only works on Windows XP x64 - Windows 7 x64, and I only have Windows 10 x64. Tried running in compatibility mode, didn't help. How can I run the program (software, libraries, ports)?!
Thanks everyone for your help!!!

universally, from free solutions, you have only one option - try wine , you may not succeed right away, you will have to play with winetricks, but the attempt is not torture.
otherwise, install a virtual machine, install the required version of the operating system into it (from the point of view of windows licensing, you need to buy another version, a separate problem is where and how you will look for winxp / win7), and run your program there, the more time passes, the more old programs have to be run in this way, i.e. there is simply no alternative.
ps and the program at least somehow reports why it can't start? what error messages, what does it write to the logs, if any, what does its developer say?
Install VirtualBox, deploy a virtual machine with WinXP x64. In the virtual mouse settings, select Windows XP x64 or Windows Server 2003 x64.
It works very fast on my i5-3570 and loads like a cannon.
And what kind of program is this? Maybe she just lacks some libraries, but not only WinXP x64 is bleeding from the nose?
