deleted the virtual machine disk file from the cluster disk with the Shift+del combination , the file was not deleted, but all NTFS permissions on it were deleted.
Assigning rights as administrator via icacls does not help - Access is denied .

What other recovery options are there?

But could it not happen that the file was deleted, and you are kicking its "ghost"? in 10k it happened a couple of times - the file is no longer there, I'm trying to delete it, and Windows writes something indistinct about the lack of access, though the ghost itself then disappeared quickly enough.
