How does NTFS manage to store files larger than 4Gb?
FAT32 is a 32 bit file system. This imposes restrictions on the file size, so the file cannot be larger than 4 gigabytes. This limitation is not present in exFAT (FAT64) as it is a 64-bit file system. But NTFS works on 32-bit Windows XP and allows you to store files larger than 4Gb.
How does NTFS work and how do 32-bit devices store large files?

If the operating system is 32-bit, then this limits only the RAM, and not the hard disk or files.
It will not be able to load a 4 GB file into memory, but this is not required either to copy the file or to work with it (in parts).
