How to install Windows and Ubuntu on the same computer?
Good day, habrausers. I do not have enough experience in installing Lunix on a computer, and the lack of experience in installing two systems at once is a matter of course. I put Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.04 on the same computer and two problems arose:
1) When loading, the choice of systems does not come out. Everything is complicated by the fact that I have Lenovo, that is, it’s so easy not to call anything when loading. In the system properties, I set up a system selection request, but it exits every other time and Ubuntu is not there. What is the reason?
2) File system. All the necessary files are in the NTFS partition, which Ubuntu does not see. I heard about crutches and NTFS support, but is it necessary? And if not, what would you recommend as a file system for two systems?
Thanks in advance.
