How to restore access to an external hard drive after interrupting the process of changing access rights for different users?
Friends, I really need the help of a knowledgeable person. I wanted to block the external screw so that there was no access to it from the guest profile under Windows 7, and I did it clearly wrong. Now, when you connect it, the system prompts you to format it and it is not possible to access it. I did something like the following, opened the properties of the screw in my computer, went into the security tab and started unchecking the checkboxes there, as it seemed to me for the guest profile. Then I pressed apply and a window popped up, in which the system began, as I understand it, to block all files on the screw. I felt something was wrong and pressed cancel after 10 seconds, when a couple of hundred files had already been processed. The system warned that this could cause problems, but I foolishly canceled anyway. Moreover, I did it from a guest profile. After that the screw as not alive. Formatting is not an option, 500 GB of the necessary information. The file system seems to be NTFS. Tell me, who knows how to cure it without formatting?

it is logical that the problem with the fact that you are advised to format it is not related to the fact that you changed the rights.
you watch everything from under the administrator?
