How to replace the micro usb plug on the micro usb to HDMI adapter cable?

In a Chinese online store, I ordered a cable with micro usb on one end and HDMI on the other. Using this wire, I wanted to connect a smartphone or tablet to a TV so that the image is transmitted to the screen. In the description and on the box itself it is written that it is for Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/Note2/Note3, but I did not attach much importance to this, all androids have a regular micro usb and my phone (Huawei u8860) and tablet (Cube u9gt3) do not exception. Came here is such a box, or rather two. xB4ft.jpg
There is such a wire inside: Z2Fqv.jpg
However, I failed to connect the device to the TV: the micro usb plug turned out to be too long compared to the usual one, and the contacts, apparently, did not reach.eaUB.jpg
Then, having practically zero experience with electronics, I decided to cut off this long plug and replace it with a regular one. I cut an unnecessary wire with micro usb at the end, but too close to the plug, so it's unlikely to be used. I tried to connect a regular usb instead of a long plug and then connect it to a smartphone via an otg adapter. But in the usb wire (black) there are 4 wires, and in the wire from the adapter (red) there are 5 wires (in addition to white, red, green and black, there is also yellow). I connected the wires with the corresponding colors, but the TV does not see. I think it's because of the yellow wire. And charging through this wire goes. 5JKZe.jpg
How do you need to connect the wires so that it works and the picture from the smartphone is transmitted to the screen? Or is it all a useless undertaking and nothing will come of it?

@LazyFire

1) for such adapters without an external video card (I have not seen this for android), MHL support is required on the phone / tablet
2) if there is such support on the phone, then why not connect via a simple usb (the one that is on your cable) through an adapter microUSB -> USB? (as otg, but without jumper with 5 pins)
