Is it dangerous to charge a laptop via USB Type-C with less power?

If the laptop comes with a 61W Type-C power adapter, but I connect the laptop to a monitor that can give a maximum of 45W - will this kill the battery?
As I understand it, in the operating mode, my laptop consumes 5-20W, so 45 should be enough for a slow one. but still charging?

Well, what about the battery here?
It is important to understand that this "adapter" is not a "Charger", but a "Power Supply". That is, it is not intended to charge the battery, but to ensure the operation of the computer in any mode, and only then - charging the battery, a separate part of the circuit of the laptop itself is even responsible for this - the so-called. "charger".
If in operating mode, without load, the laptop does not consume 45 watts or more, everything is fine. 61 watts is the maximum power that a laptop can consume, simultaneously with a battery charge, more precisely, even with a margin.
