How to replace a file in one of the Chrome extensions so that the browser does not swear: "This extension may have been corrupted"?

Installed the extension Language Immersion for Chrome goo.gl/MQGT3 The thing is
great, but it does not have English.
You can fix this annoying oversight by going to the extensions folder C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\Extensions Folder and replacing the two files there.
In Chrom on MacOS, it worked with a bang, but in Chrome under Widndows, when replacing files, Chrome disables this extension and writes: This extension could be damaged.
How to remove this warning and replace the files to continue working with the extension?

It's not possible to change it just like that, but you can decide this way:
1) copy the folder with the extension to another location, rename it (for example, add the Mod prefix, just for understanding)
2) if there is a "_metadata" folder inside, delete it
3) go to manifest .json change the name of the extension (for example, by adding the Mod prefix again), change the value of the key field by adding a random number to the value
4) replace-modify the necessary files
5) go to chrome://extensions/ enable developer mode, click "pack extension" and select the folder with the modified extension. Confirm, after which the crx extension file will appear in the folder
6) drag the crx file from the folder to the extensions tab and confirm the installation

Sunsvision Great method! I can add that now it is not even necessary to pack the extension. You can immediately install it directly from its folder through the button in the add-ons section: "Load unpacked extension" (the checkbox "Developer mode" must be checked).

As an option, install the Dev-version of the browser (Dev-version or Canary). This developer version will not ask you to confirm extensions every time.
I have been sitting on it for a long time, because there are many useful extensions that are not in the store, but you need to install them.
