How to remove snapshot in VMWare ESXi 6.0 on vim.fault.GenericVmConfigFault error?
Hello. I created a backup task for the virtual machine in Veeam Backup and Replication 9. The full backup was successful, but later the task stopped working. Veeam throws an error :: Processing server-4 Error: A general system error occurred: vim.fault.GenericVmConfigFault . I suppose that I need to delete all snapshots from the virtual machine, but I can’t do it, it gives an error A general system error occurred: vim.fault.GenericVmConfigFault . I have no idea what to do.

There are two ways:
1. Make Consolidate (or Delete All, which is equivalent :)) snapshots, wait for the end. Extinguish this server and clone it. Remove the old one, live with the clone.

2. Turn off the server, go to the datastore and rename the file with the vmsd extension to vmsd.old in the directory of this server (you can do anything, so then it will be easier to turn stuffing back). Make Consolidate (or Delete All, which is equivalent :)) snapshots, wait for the end. Remove all .vmsd and .vmsn files from the server directory.

Which way to go is up to you.
