How to relay several radio stations from one hosting?
Hello.
Recently, a very famous radio site, which rebroadcast all metropolitan radio stations in a fairly optimal quality, was forced to stop doing this.
In principle, I didn’t lose so much from this, because I had the vast majority of streams in a much higher quality, and I listened to them with pleasure on my smartphone (Iota allows), because we have complete trouble with FM in the outback. Only here is the trouble - the battery runs out faster from high-quality streams, and in places with not the best coverage, the stream often breaks.
From what I know how to do - only bring one stream from the sound card or from the network to relay to Icecast. And if I had a static IP, I might have somehow dealt with several streams.
From this, in fact, the question arises - is it possible to rent a relay server somewhere for reasonable money to relay 15-20 stations in AAC + from 48 to 64 kbps? And how to work with it? Perhaps such a development would later be useful not only to me :)

The task is divided into two components
1. Hosting rent. I can advise you to take a droplet for 5 bucks from DigitalOcean, somewhere in Frankfurt or Amsterdam, these are the closest data centers to Russia. The traffic that DO provides with the tariff covers audio streaming with a large margin - our clients use it for video and do not go beyond free limits.
2. Software for transcoding. RadioBoss is fine. If you run into a problem with distribution performance, you can safely install our Nimble as an Icecast restreamer , it will handle any load.
