How to equalize video volume in realtime player?

I don't know how to ask the question more clearly. In general, if briefly I was tired of the modern approach to audio in cinema, when the dialogues of the characters are quiet, while some kind of roar is several times louder. During the day, this is not the case, but in the evening, either sit at the volume switch, or wake up the neighbors :).
As far as I remember, someone already asked the problem, once stumbled upon a plug-in for MPC-HC, which equalizes the volume of the video being played to a general-average value in realtime, but now I can’t remember the name. Anyone suggest something? :)
