How to recover data after moving to a memory card?

Good afternoon! I moved data from laptop (android 7.1.2) to memory card (using file manager). After moving, I inserted the card into the phone, but no data was found. Tried other phones - same thing. I inserted the card into the laptop again, but there is no data either on the card or on the laptop. Please tell me where the data could have disappeared, and how to recover it?

Where to disappear - did the bodies ask for formatting when the card was inserted?
you can try to restore it with a software to restore information ... this is if the card is still alive, of course
, or, which is more logical, restore from a copy copy)

Most likely NTFC and most likely pulled out early.
It makes sense to restore only on the screw, and not on the memory card

A laptop under an ancient android - in itself, this combination says that it does not promise anything to anyone. How does he work with memory cards, with what file systems - who knows! Read the instructions.
The same is true for phones into which the card was inserted. Different androids on devices from different manufacturers with memory cards work in completely different ways.

After moving, I inserted the card into the phone, but no data was found

First, it would be nice to know what file system was on the card at the time the data was moved there.
If NTFS, FAT or ExFAT, then insert it into a computer with Windows, download free R.saver to another disk, scan the memory card and restore the data found: https://rlab.ru/tools/rsaver.html
If the file system was different , it is better to look at paid software. For example, the UFS Explorer demo will allow you to do a full scan and recover small files. Files of all sizes - license required.
I moved data from laptop (android 7.1.2)

To understand what can be done in this direction, we need more information from you.
At least an accurate model. And better - detailed characteristics + photos of the insides to understand how data storage is organized there.
In addition, in android there is an Unmount function in relation to, at least, memory cards. Did you use it before extraction?
