How to remove password from HDD (HP RDX removable disk cartridge)?

There is a cartridge from the backup system - HP RDX 160GB Removable Disk Cartridge (Q2040A), which has a Hitachi HTS545016B9A300 hard drive, locked with a user password. Since the system is not in use, I would like to unlock the disk and use it as normal.
What has already been done:
- Russian and English-language Internets have been googled on this issue, nothing intelligible and working has been found;
- tried MHDD, atapwd, zu (in different modes, with different parameters, with different ways of connecting the disk) - to no avail, or I didn’t really understand how to use these utilities (for example, zu just started the counter in all three modes and nothing else);
- standard master passwords for Hitachi drives are not suitable.
