How to recover an ext4 filesystem?

About two years ago, on my home computer, the OS was Ubuntu (I don’t remember the version anymore) on one of the connected disks, the file system was ext4 and an archive of photos was stored on it. Periodically, the OS did not see the file system on it and offered to format the disk, but after rebooting, the file system was determined and all the data was in place, the disk was checked - there were no errors. But at one fine moment, the file system was no longer determined completely and the disk was as if not formatted. Then there was no time to understand and I postponed it. Now the hands have reached the rescue of the photo archive, but the OS on the computer is now Windows 7. Tell me how to save the data? There are free disks, I'm ready to put any Linux distribution there for recovery.

To begin with, I would recommend using dd to make a full image of the partition, and experiment only with it. At the very least, you won't lose anything.

Ran Testdesk, he found entries about partitions (a bunch of identical ones). The partition is correct, but no record (table) is restored. Moreover, I don’t know the type of table either GPT or MBR.

From my own experience, I can say that it is very, very difficult to do this. In most cases, I think this is not possible. Testdisk and extundelete have already been advised above.
