How to set monitor 21 to 9 in Ubuntu?
There is an AOC q2963Pm monitor with a resolution of 2560x1080 (21:9), a PALIT NV GTX660 OC video card. I tried using this documentation to set the permission forum.ubuntu.ru/index.php?topic=78813.0 , it turned out with permission, but everything is very muddy.

installing drivers 340 solves the problem
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa -y
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get remove nvidia-*
sudo apt-get install nvidia-340 nvidia-settings -y
PS the solution is that indicated in the link it is already "obsolete". you may have to revert back the changes made, maybe they picked up something superfluous ...
PSS LG 29" 2560x1080 + gf 770 + xubuntu 14.10 + 340drv = everything works
