How to record with two microphones in the field?

Good afternoon!
The task is to record on two microphones (labels) in the field.
It is possible on a mono channel, but always separate microphones (hung on clothes).
I assume that you need a stereo recorder. If the input is stereo, then you can solder it and output it to two microphones, but will it work? Or is it possible to somehow connect two microphones to one mono input without a mixer?
Maybe there are other ways to implement it. I would be grateful for any ideas.
Thanks a lot!

maybe like this?
barnaul.dns-shop.ru/catalog/i110267/perexodnik-35-jack-2x35-jack-stereo-belsis.html
or similar. unwind, then snack on one line of the left and on the other right channel. and twist.
I don't remember what the mono jack looks like unfortunately. it's hard to say for sure that everything will come together as it should

I can assume that if the microphones are the same, i.e. have the same impedance, and when recording on them there will be no large differences in volume level, they can be connected together in parallel in mono and connected as one microphone. I apologize in advance if I said stupidity of course. If someone here knows physics, then let me correct. But on my first electric guitar, the pickups were wired that way. There were no additional electronics.
Option 2. Write simply on two voice recorders. Then, on the computer, merge together into one file, for example, in the Audacity program. It will even be possible to make a cool panning, i.e. one microphone will be larger in the left channel, the other in the right.
Option 3 (Costly). Laptop + USB audio interface with at least two inputs. It is also written in a multi-channel recording program. Each mic is on a separate channel. Then everything can be rendered into one wav/mp3.

I ordered such a thing zoomh4n.ru/ but has not yet arrived, I'm waiting. Judging by the article on this site, the thing is simply killer, we'll see how it shows itself in practice.

I, like KonstRuctor, have a Zoom H4n . I have been using it for almost 2 years, excellent sound, recorded live concerts with a bang.

I strongly recommend not mixing both microphones. Might help with further work. At least write one buttonhole on the left channel, another on the right. In general, two independent recorders are better.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Yes, field conditions, outside the city.
I looked at the descriptions of voice recorders in online stores, apparently the microphone input for 3.5 jack.
I'll try to connect the microphones to one mono and try to record.
