How to read all files on NTFS drive?
A simple example: we remove a disk from a neighboring computer (for example, to treat a virus) and connect it as a second disk. On both computers, Windows 7. Accordingly, many files are not visible, since some special rights are needed to enter the Documents and Settigns folder, etc.
How can I easily access all the files on an NTFS drive? Including "System Volume Information"? Viruses can sit there too.
Do not offer to become the owner of all folders, because the disk will need to be returned to a neighboring computer with the same rights as it was.
Ideally, you need to completely disable the NTFS rights control system for a while, carry out treatment, and return everything to its place.
UPD1: The same question in other words - are there legal ways to promote yourself from Administrator to SYSTEM on Windows 7?

Do this, and then do whatever you want and go wherever you want. Just don't break anything))
ZY The above actions do not have to be done under the "Administrator", it can be done under a simple user with administrator rights
You can start a Linux virtual machine (or run Linux from a Live CD), attach a disk to it, and copy all the files. Permissions are set to full by default.
I suspect that the system of rights was made precisely in order to make it so easy to get to folders / files that are not your rights.
You can simply boot from a “live flash drive” with Linux and clean up everything you need.
So - Kaspersky Rescue Disk - do not kick for advertising, I'm not talking about there.
That's not how viruses are cured! Take a LiveCD and treat without transferring the physical disk to another computer, and even with raising user rights!
