How to properly update an app in the Google Play Console?

A technical error has been detected in an application that has successfully passed moderation.

The bug has been fixed, how can I properly update the application in the Google Play Console now?

Haven't posted updates before.

I found the menu item with versions and downloading new ones in the Google Play Console.

But what needs to be changed in the new built application? Package name com.appname, version code, signing key or something else?

The package name, on the contrary, cannot be changed, as well as the signing key. Only the version changes to any higher one. A new working version is published, which will immediately go to moderation. Before approving, the old one is available on the market, when the new one is rejected, the old one remains available as well.
