How to properly transfer the script to the customer?

They asked me to write a bot for one site that responds with prepared phrases
. When I made bots for VK, I threw scripts on my hosting, and they work. The customer will have to provide the script code, and then he himself will have to upload it to his hosting, or what? It is unlikely that it will suit him if I keep it on my server (you never know, the server stops working, I don’t pay for it - and its script stops working), but on the other hand, the customer just doesn’t have to deal with hosting.
What's the best way to turn this around? I wrote a script, threw him php files, and that's it? Or do you need to include the cost of hosting in the price, upload files there, give him a login and password from his server and leave?

Make your script by subscription. Keep the scripts on your hosting. If there are many clients, hire an admin for these purposes.
APIs and algorithms are changed/added, so they need to be upgraded and maintained accordingly. Every time you pull will be unprofitable for the client and for you. Therefore, make a subscription of N-rubles per month and support the bots of your customers for the first time. To all the same, you have a stable income.
Well, this is a logical continuation if you do it more than once.

as with any web project - IN THE BEGINNING you need to explain to the customer that you need a certain server - hosting, you can host it - it will cost 3 rubles, you can buy a separate hosting for this - it will cost 30 rubles. In principle, even at the end of the work it can be explained, but it looks like you are additionally raising money, because "this was not included in the initial cost." Same thing with the domain.

I would set everything up on the hosting (partner link), which is registered in the name of the customer, showed that everything works and would give the "keys" (hosting login and password).
This is the best option, as practice shows, to contact you again.

Sell a finished product that will work, i.e. in your case, this is an installed bot on the hosting, but about further alterations, settings, etc. agree in advance how and how much it will be paid.

As the customer wants, so be it. Situations at the customer happen really different so the "correct" way basically does not exist. If you can, and the customer wants and pays, then the option is correct. It happens that the customer gives a separate TOR for deployment, it happens that he asks for detailed instructions ... anything can happen. But if it is not clear what he wants, one should not guess, but ask.
If the customer is not at all in the subject - spend a little time explaining to him the main options. Then just silently add that time to the deployment cost. Or do not add, but consider it an investment in advertising, for example.
If you are not able (no matter whose fault it is) to explain the options to the customer, then this is a very problematic order in any case)
