Hello! There is a vps on digitalocean. Installed lamp. Next, I installed wordpress and vsftpd. When installing the plugin, the following error is displayed: "Extracting files.... Failed to create directory". I so understand that something with the rights, help to understand.

the user who uploads the plugin via FTP does not have permission to write to the directory of your site, from whom you have lamps running and from which user you upload the plugin via FTP
