How to properly prepare a layout in Photoshop in cmyk, which will then go to print?

Actually, the main essence of the preparation is clear: fonts - in curves, smarts - in rasters, etc. But here's the moment: when I show the customer a preview saved from a psd layout in jpeg, it often happens that the colors are absolutely not the same (faded, dull).

1. Type immediately in CMYK. This is certainly not a 100% answer, but the advice of an experienced colleague.
2. Warn the customer that the layout on the monitor is something that glows from the inside, and on paper the light is reflected and there is a dependence on paper, and on, for example, varnish, and on additional paint (pantone).
3. With understanding, change the total amount of color at the point (with a pipette, see the amount as a percentage).
4. When you make ps, then translate Acrobat Distiller into pdf and see what happens. Look for errors in fonts, in their inappropriate rasterization, in complex fills, in transparencies, in black overlay (so that there are no holes under black).

Check the box for "Color Proof". Set the color proofing to "CMYK".
