How to overwrite data from a problem HDD?
There is a problematic HDD Sagate Baracuda 320. It is determined by the system extremely rarely, you need to restart the PC several times in order for it to be displayed in Bios. I'm trying to copy data to a working HDD using Total Commander, but the speed is low and there are frequent freezes. What do you recommend, what software is easier to copy the data?

It's not about the software. The disk is bad. Copy the most important data and say goodbye to the disk.
You can copy sector by sector (all 320GB of disk), for example, via WinHex. But I do not think that it will be more stable. As soon as the disk hits an unreadable sector, it stutters trying to read it. Hence the freezes.
It's still lucky that at least somehow copied. In most cases, the disk simply dies and is no longer detected. Generally.
