How to overlay UI object on top of text?

Good afternoon!
I have done quite a bit of UI work and would like to know how to overlay an object on top of text, such as a 2d square or other sprite.
I myself work with TextMeshPro.

Good afternoon! In order for the text to stand behind a particular object, you need to place the object below the text in the hierarchy.
