Working with cameras in Unity3D?

Good day, dear Khabrovites.
In my free time, I'm slowly poking around with Unity, now, having nothing to do, I'm slowly spanking a small toy. There was a question regarding the creation of the minimap.
A camera is fixed above the player, which emits a signal in the "Render Texture".
This "Render Texture" is assigned as a texture to the "GUITexture" object.
In general, everything is fine, the top view is shown, but, for some reason, "Terrain" is completely ignored.
That is, the result is a top view of the player model on a blue background.
If you display the image simply on a cube, everything is in order, but the GUITexture does not show the ground.
The question is what am I doing wrong?

@Torlan

If the camera is orthogonal (and judging by the screenshot, it is), try increasing the Clipping Planes - Far parameter

For a very long time I understood how the subject is connected with Unity, until I saw the tag.
Specify in the title that we are talking about Unity3D, do not confuse ubuntovodov :)
