How to optimize VPS?
There is such an assembly
ruby + mysql + apache + firefox + fluxbox
in operation, the memory is completely used (see video)

Is it possible to free up memory from the assembly
(kill some unnecessary processes, maybe something else)?

From what immediately comes to mind:
Replace gnome with something lightweight. (LXDE, Xfce)
Replace firefox with the same chrome / close unnecessary tabs / remove all unnecessary plugins / take aurora(firefox-next) instead of firefox, new versions are just fighting for memory consumption, and generally successful.
In general, why is there a graphical environment and firefox on the virtual machine, especially since the cat wept for memory there? =) Maybe it's just worth changing the task initially?
Yes, it's more correct to rewrite the task, I don't use firefox
But since it is already ready, I just wanted to know if there are ways to optimize it from the server side :)
500 megabytes for such things is something not decent, it is obvious that firefox eats memory and if you delete it, it will become better. And so expand the operatives on vpske.
