I have an extension for the Opera browser. With the help of the extension, you can download music from VK. Made it a long time ago, the idea came after reading about the html5 download attribute. At the moment, the extension has installed more than 100 thousand people.
I have the update file saved on disk. Those. with this file I can release the update and get access to the whole audience.
I tried cpa networks, but it didn't work. After installing the extension, a welcome window appeared with an advertisement for an offer. They didn't click very well. There were 2 orders for Beats headphones, but they all canceled. Do not think that 2 orders were for all 100 thousand people. No, I found the update file from 7 months ago not so long ago and the update has not yet been released. Ads were shown to newly installed users.
They clicked badly, most likely because of the ad format - a pop-up window. Also, people were not up to advertising, because they wanted to use the extension as soon as possible and they just immediately closed the window. I don’t want to integrate advertising on the pages, because angry reviews will immediately go. As an option, you can insert a link in the extension to any site with a musical theme. Has anyone had experience and what else can you recommend? 100 thousand is not a small audience, I want to somehow monetize it.

I have connected the collection of statistics using VK. Those. I can clearly see how many unique users launched the extension today, and how many times the popup was opened.
I sell impressions to sites or groups. I have implemented a notification system that is shown to each user. These notifications are downloaded from the server and stored in memory until they are displayed to the user. Thus, the Owner pays for the fact that the entire audience of 19,000 people will 100% see his advertisement (Image + text + Link).
But this only applies if, like me, the main activity of the audience occurs in the pop-up window of the extension.
