Is it true that most review sites remove negative reviews for a fee?

I heard such a statement over a pint of beer, and not only about Runet. True, not first hand. Is it true? How big is the scale of such paid moderation? How does it usually happen? Thanks in advance for any article links, webarchive links, and any other evidence.

unfortunately, it’s not true
that there are sites focused only on negative reviews and such a paid service is clearly spelled out there, but you can count them on the fingers.

Everything happens, all people love money, but this is of course a scribe. Negative comments are the only breath of fresh air among the stench of millions of similar purchased positive reviews.

>millions of the same type of purchased positive reviews
..and hundreds of thousands of purchased negative ones :-)

It doesn't make any sense at all. These reviews are written by competitors (negative) and the owners of the advertised sites themselves (positive). This can be seen even in style.
Truth. There are those that are removed for a fee.
There are those that allow owners to write their answers for a fee.
