How to monetize a freelance exchange?

Hello!
Recently I asked a question about freelance exchanges Which freelance exchange has the best working conditions and why? . There was a discussion under one of the answers. Some say one thing, some say another. Somewhere it is difficult to work, somewhere it is generally unrealistic. Somewhere the commissions are huge, somewhere Indians.
A question popped up in my head. Let's suppose that you have your own freelance exchange, how would you monetize it. After all, it is clear that the freelance exchange must somehow live. But how to provide a freelance exchange with the means to live without huge commissions and so that people still pay for something?
Thanks in advance to everyone who helps!

Good afternoon. I have my own exchange.
Freelance monetization - paid placement of responses, services for highlighting and raising various units in the list (orders, responses, participants), the ability to attach a portfolio to responses. This is the simplest option, but no matter how cool projects are spinning with this scheme, monetization is fixed.
It is also possible to introduce advertising on the site.
Monetization through a secure transaction is quite difficult legally, but theoretically it is also possible.

Actually, exchanges live only by commissions. Actually, this is the only business model that has shown its effectiveness.
There are no hacker commissions in the complex on any exchange

  1. Act as a guarantor. Qualified personnel will be required to resolve disputes.
    These are the main approaches.
ps If you don't have a lot of money or a great desire, don't even start.
