How to make your own platform like Virtuix Omni?

There is a desire to make our own analogue of this platform, but there are no specific thoughts on implementation. I think to use Arduino + a set of some sensors to track the position of body parts in space. The question is - what sensors will be required for this? There are good programming skills, and their absence in working with MK. Therefore, a solution is needed using a bunch of Arduino + sensors, or something similar. Now I plan to learn how to work with Arduino (there is a MK itself + servos and even some sensors). I would be glad to hear any opinion on this matter.
