How to make authorization by login and password for a Wi-Fi router?

Hello. I often travel abroad, and there I noticed that in order to access a Wi-Fi point, you must enter your login and password through the site. So I thought, maybe I can do something like this on my router.
Who knows how it's done? Thanks in advance!
PS: I heard that this is not a simple Wi-Fi router. Unfortunately I forgot what it's called :(
