How to link RFID with php?

There is an automated system written in php.
Now the system prints a barcode for each product.
Barcodes need to be replaced with RFID tags.
I can not find material on how to link rfid and php.

Is RFID written to the tag by something? Some kind of device. This device must have some kind of API - you need to dig in this direction.
