How to install Windows 8.1 update KB2919355?
Good afternoon!
Yesterday MS started sending out the first major update for Win 8.1
. I have a license, and the update arrived last night, when trying to update naturally through a standard system update, update error code 80070002, this is normal for Windows, so an article was carefully prepared on the MS website about how to disable the system update service through administration, clean the update folder, there is only one problem - the logs are not cleaned, well, this problem is solved, usually it is enough to boot from livecd and safely delete the SoftwareDistribution folder.
This helped on 3 computers, when they also didn’t want to install updates on fresh Win8 1.5 years ago .. but with the update KB2919355 this scheme did not work, after all the manipulations (by the way, carried out twice) a new error 80070003 flew out, though the meaning has not changed , in fact, like the solution proposed by MS ... probably just in such a case, MS carefully lays out all the updates in packages for offline installation, go and download , MS again carefully leaves installation instructions and talks about the order in which to install updates, namely:
Knowledge bases should be installed in the following order: KB2919442, KB2919355, KB2932046, KB2937592, KB2938439, KB2934018.
Knowledge Base KB2919442 is a prerequisite for Windows 8.1 Updated and must be installed prior to installing KB2919355.

There was a similar case - the KB2919355 update was not installed on windows 2012 r2. After an hour of googling, the problem was solved by installing an update / fix from small soft KB2975061
I have an update rolled with half a pint. Solid pluses from the service pack. Just shed a tear that they take such good care of us.
There was no auto update. But manually installed without problems. Checked before that = KB2919442 was installed automatically on April 10th. I did not clear the update history. Windows 8.1 SL.
But I was mentally prepared for fails, tk. read during installation here
www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/44213-windo... - they write in the end, enabling all services in msconfig helped someone, and someone had problems allegedly due to MediaCenter
