How to install Ubuntu on a new laptop next to Windows 10?
Hello! I have an ASUS K501UX laptop with an i7 6500U processor, a GTX 950M graphics card and Windows 10 installed.
The problem is the following: I made a bootable USB flash drive with Ubuntu 14.04 using rufus.
Yesterday I started from the boot menu, clicked "Try Ubuntu without installing" and got to a purple screen with Ubuntu and boot points, it started very quickly and then there was a desktop. But the mouse and keyboard didn't work. (if the question arises why try without installing clicked, then this is to mark the space for the axle).
Today I'm stuck on the purple loading screen and nothing happens.
If you need information on the BIOS, then here: In the Boot
menu , Fast Boot - Disabled , Launch CSM - Disabled. In the Security
menu , select Secure Boot Control - Disabled .
