How to move window close/minimize/maximize buttons to the right in Ubuntu?
already tried to change via terminal

gconftool-2 --set "/apps/metacity/general/button_layout" --type string "menu:minimize,maximize,close"

and

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout «:maximize,minimize,close»

- no effect. Unity Tweak Tool is installed, but I can't find the required switch anywhere either.

Not in Unity. The developers say - it's necessary, they have already been pelted with tomatoes. The above setting works in Gnome.
