How to install Ubuntu alongside Windows 10(UEFI)?
I know that there are a lot of tutorials on the Internet and everything is described in detail in all of them, but I have an emergency situation. Last year I installed Ubuntu next to 10 without any problems. This year I reinstalled 10-ku and now the problems with installing Ubuntu have begun.
The bottom line is, I burn the Ubuntu image to USB (I also tried it from a disk, there is no difference), using dancing with a tambourine (thanks windows 10), I boot from USB / DVD and as a result, instead of the usual Ubuntu installer, I get:
At the same time, if you disable UEFI, then ubuntu installs normally. And it starts, but then Windows does not start until you turn UEFI back on. And when you turn it on after the first start of Windows, ubuntu stops starting even when UEFI is turned off. In short, I understand that disabling / enabling UEFI is a crutch and you need to somehow install Ubuntu with UEFI enabled.
If I'm not mistaken, then before this GNU GRUB screen, 2 lines fly out with reading errors from some partition (that's why I tried both from a disk and a flash drive) and are quickly replaced by this screen. Tried Ubuntu and 32 and 64 versions. When writing a flash drive, I set the partition scheme to both MBR and GPT (my GPT disk). Still the result is the same. Secure boot disabled.
