Command line

Why doesn't the SET command on the command line work the way it should? And how to make it work?

SET PATH=%PATH%;d:\my\path
does not work. The command was executed successfully, but there is no real result from it. Everything worked before. How to fix it?

PS: I do not want to change through the "Control Panel".

Works for me :-)
Remove spaces before and after equals - you create a variable called "PATH "
