How to insert an image into README.md on github?

I noticed that the pictures in the readme are stored in the github cloud (cloud.githubusercontent.com). I don't understand how they get in there. Normal dragging of a picture on the document does not flood. On the comments - yes, on the readme file - no. Make a knight's move? Pour in the comment, and use the link in the document?
