What if after typing git push the console freezes and does nothing?

I'm new to git and wanted to push my repository which has 1 file. But after I wrote the command "git push origin master" nothing happened. Didn't request authorization, didn't push to gitHub. The console just hangs and nothing happens. If someone came across and knows what the reason is, I ask for help.

I had a similar problem, the bottom line is that I did not notice that the OS opened a new window in which it was required to enter the so-called Personal access tokens that are created in the github profile, after that everything worked.
