How to implement the exchange of files with an FTP server according to a template?

Good day everyone. The essence of the problem is this: there is a server, files are updated on it 2 times a day and there is FTP, where files of a certain type (according to a template) should be uploaded and taken from there. I configured everything through xStarter, but it, the parasite, breaks archives (files). Prompt than it is better to implement, and that manually bothered already.

Try using FileZilla. It seemed to be a good ftp client.

I will clarify, the server is the source of windows 2003, ftp on ClearOS. Thanks for the answers, but these are all manual "rakes", I just need automation. Maybe someone knows why xStarter breaks the contents of archives?
