How to implement the deletion of files over the network to the trash (or to a separate folder), and not to the void?

There is a file trash can shared over the network, is it possible to make sure that when files are deleted by the user, they do not disappear completely, but are moved to the trash or some folder?

If the task is to prevent accidental deletion - shadow copy on a host with a shared folder.

I will join the question of the TC: and if we complicate the task - for example, if the file server / resource is made as the role of the cluster filer, i.e. not quite the usual file server - you can't make a shadow copy there. How to be?

A few years ago, they also wanted to implement a similar solution. I found this software: www.condusiv.com/business/undelete/professional
And, if I'm not mistaken, they wrote off Netwrix, they had a solution. I remember we were given a key for the software for a month, I rolled it onto the server. Yes, indeed, the files were deleted into some kind of recycle bin, from which they could be restored. I remember that it did not work very stable and not everything went into the trash.
As a result, they scored, because the decision cost like a locomotive, and the benefits turned out to be dubious. We do backup and shadow copying.
