How to implement HDD monitoring behind STLab A-470 hardware RAID controller in Linux?

Tell me options for monitoring physical HDDs in RAID 1 in Linux. Driver manufacturer only for Windows XP/Vista/7. The RAID itself works fine, turned off both HDDs in turn. But without knowing the status of hard drives in RAID, there are no pluses from this RAID.
