How to hide part of the site from Google & Yandex indexing?

Hello.
A serious question arose. How can you hide part of the site from indexing by search engines like Google and Yandex.
I found about tags such as:

<noindex>.............</noindex>
<!--noindex-->.............<!--/noindex-->

This is purely for Yandex. Is it possible to insert entire blocks of the site inside them?
I also found verbal advice on how to hide from Google's eyes: What can be connected as an iframe, and indicate in the robots that it is not necessary to index the iframe block.
How effective is it? Are there better ways?

What's wrong with robots.txt? Disallow type: /some-folder/*
