How to hide any program from the desktop?

That is, I meant that I want the program not to be visible on the desktop, but only in the processes of the task manager. How can I do that?
(so that this program can be seen and removed only from the task manager).
Why do I need it? I want to hide the program from my brother (leave the Minecraft server on so that my brother doesn't notice it).
